How you'll make an impact in this role- Supervise and lead interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, directing daily activities to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve clinical objectives.
- Assess patient care needs and assign staff by developing and distributing daily assignments to clinical, non-clinical, and interdisciplinary team members, ensuring care is appropriate for the patient population.
- Delegate duties safely and legally to clinical and non-clinical team members based on their assessed skills and abilities, in strict accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Plan shift-wide care and evaluate performance by gathering team data to plan shift care, providing direct feedback and coaching, and recommending corrective or disciplinary actions when required.
- Drive the hiring and evaluation process by conducting candidate interviews, making hiring recommendations, and providing ongoing verbal and written performance feedback to the clinical leader.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Education:
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking- Professional Experience: Preferred candidate will possess five years of RN experience, demonstrating the ability to maintain composure and clinical excellence during difficult situations.
- Analytical Skills: Proven proficiency in problem-solving and a meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and operational accuracy.
