Job Summary:The Acute Care Float RN will provide comprehensive care for patients with life-threatening conditions or comorbidities that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. This role involves working in a highly challenging environment where deep knowledge and quick thinking are essential for managing the highest acuity level patients, including those with conditions such as overdoses, post-surgery recovery, trauma, and chronic illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in acute care settings.
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patient conditions to provide timely interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to support patient care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic charting systems.
Required Qualifications:- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.
- Proficient in computer charting, specifically with EPIC
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in high-acuity settings, such as trauma or surgical ICUs.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
