Full Job Description
Regional Vice President, Pacific Northwest

TKDA is seeking a Regional Vice President to help shape the next chapter of our Seattle region. This is an opportunity for an accomplished, growth-minded leader to build on TKDA's strengths while influencing how we expand our market presence, deepen client relationships, develop talent, and connect capabilities across the organization.

As a senior leader and ambassador for TKDA, you will have the visibility, relationships, and organizational reach to turn opportunities into meaningful results. You will work alongside executive, division, and administrative leaders to advance regional priorities, strengthen collaboration, and create an environment where employees and the business can grow together.

This role offers more than the opportunity to lead an established operation. It is a chance to make your mark by helping define what comes next. As you contribute to TKDA's growth, you will also broaden your leadership experience, expand your influence across markets and disciplines, and build a lasting professional legacy within an employee-owned organization.

WHAT YOU WILL INFLUENCE

Regional Strategy and Operation
  • Partner with executive, division, and administrative leaders to translate TKDA's strategic priorities into focused regional action.
  • Help shape and implement annual regional business plans that connect market opportunity, talent, operational capability, and organizational growth.
  • Anticipate evolving regional needs and bring the right leaders and resources together to develop effective solutions.
  • Strengthen collaboration across divisions and regions by identifying opportunities for workshare, talent sharing, staffing alignment, and coordinated delivery.
Market and Client Growth
  • Help define and advance market-development strategies that reflect regional opportunities and support division priorities.
  • Bring forward regional market insights and competitive intelligence that strengthen business decisions and position TKDA for growth.
  • Build and deepen relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders while serving as a visible senior representative of TKDA.
  • Connect clients with the breadth of TKDA's services, creating opportunities for expanded partnerships and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Strengthen TKDA's regional presence through active leadership in professional, industry, and market organizations.
Project and Technical Leadership
  • As appropriate, serve as a senior client liaison and provide project or technical leadership that reinforces TKDA's commitment to exceptional service.
  • Help project teams navigate complex challenges while maintaining alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Use technical and industry credibility to strengthen client confidence, employee development, and market visibility.
People, Culture, and Leadership Development
  • Champion regional talent needs in partnership with division leaders and Human Resources.
  • Help attract, engage, develop, and retain employees who will contribute to TKDA's current success and future growth.
  • Mentor and coach employees and emerging leaders, helping them expand their capabilities and pursue meaningful professional growth.
  • Foster a connected, collaborative regional culture where employees understand how their work contributes to clients, colleagues, and the organization's future.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Significant leadership experience in engineering, architecture, construction, environmental services, or another professional-services environment.
  • A record of building trusted relationships with clients, employees, business partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • The ability to influence and align people across a collaborative, matrixed organization.
  • Strong business judgment and an understanding of project-based consulting, client service, and market development.
  • Experience translating strategic priorities into practical plans, relationships, and results.
  • A commitment to mentoring employees, developing leaders, and building a positive workplace culture.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • The credibility and presence to represent TKDA with clients, industry organizations, and the broader community.

ADDED VALUE

  • Registration as a professional engineer or architect in the State of Washington.
  • Ten or more years of successful experience spanning technical service delivery, client relationship management, and regional or general management.
