The Regional Vice-President (VP), Imperial Service, Ontario Region is accountable for leading implementation of initiatives for CIBC’s Imperial Service business, which focuses on our mass affluent clients to drive outstanding results in the areas of net sales growth, revenue and client satisfaction. As a member of Personal and Business Banking, Canada is accountable for determining the strategic direction, providing leadership and business management of the Imperial Service markets within their span of control and within the overall Region.  The role is focused on all aspects of Imperial Service including the implementation of forward thinking business and sales strategies, productivity, profitability initiatives and enhancement of the client experience.  The Regional VP is jointly responsible with the Regional President for regional business, risk management, profitability, cost and expense management.

What You’ll be Doing

 

  • Shape the Imperial Service Strategy. Partner with the Region Head, Imperial Service and senior Imperial Service leaders to define, evolve, and execute the long-term Imperial Service vision, operating model, and differentiated client value proposition.
  • Drive Business Performance. Provide strategic oversight of a complex, high-profile markets — delivering sustainable business results, exceptional client experiences, and a strong risk and compliance culture.
  • Inspire High-Performance Leadership. Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership — investing in coaching, candid feedback, and leadership development to build the next generation of talent and connect individual roles to CIBC's enterprise ambitions.
  • Lead National Strategic Initiatives. Architect and advance enterprise-wide priorities that evolve frontline roles, leadership capability, and coaching practices, while ensuring disciplined stakeholder engagement and measurable outcomes.
  • Elevate the Client Journey. Champion a seamless client experience framework that enables well-executed transitions across the Core, Imperial, and Private Wealth continuum — supported by targeted marketing strategies that deepen engagement and accelerate growth.

  • Maximize Competitive Positioning.   • Uphold Regulatory Standards. Maintain the highest standards of licensing, accreditation, and operational compliance — including CIRO-MFD and CIRO-ID requirements — while embedding a proactive risk mindset across all levels of the team.
