Garver is seeking a highly-motivated
Regional Traffic Analysis leader and QA/QC Manager in our
St. Louis, MO office to add to our growing traffic and transportation planning team.
Our Transportation Planning and Traffic Team is a growing and collaborative group offering our regional clients full-service transportation planning and traffic design capabilities. This position will have the opportunity to make a daily impact on Garver's projects by being involved in a variety of project-types with diverse clients and working collaboratively with internal project teams, to expand our transportation planning and traffic services.
The ideal candidate would have 15+ years of related experience, a sharp technical background, and strong passion for the profession. The position will offer the candidate an opportunity to play a key role in analyzing and designing exciting projects for our DOT and municipal clients across our client footprint.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team. This position will be supervised by a Senior Project Manager and offers outstanding growth opportunity and career advancement to the right individual.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Performing and reviewing traffic studies, simulation and level of service analysis
- Reviewing all elements of traffic engineering deliverables (studies, traffic design, ITS) for clients across our footprint
- Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients
Additional duties include:
- Assisting with project management to identify project scopes, fees, and monitoring project progress.
- Maintaining a client-focused, service attitude by tracking budgets, and keeping projects on schedule.
- Preparing project proposals and giving interviews for project pursuits
- Performing direct client marketing and developing relationships with existing clients within our service area
- Mentoring less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree for an ABET accredited engineering program
- 15+ years of experience with traffic specific projects
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or have ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Working knowledge of traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS is required
- Experience in analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts
- Experience reviewing traffic design (Signals, Signing, Lighting) and ITS elements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in civil engineering
- Experience in marketing and managing local government projects
- Experience working with MODOT and municipalities in Missouri
- Experience working with large teams in multiple locations
- Experience supervising and managing team members as well as mentoring less experienced staff
- Knowledge and experience of developing a new business and relationships is a plus
- Certification as a PTOE and/or RSP
