Full Job Description
Garver is seeking a highly-motivated Regional Traffic Analysis leader and QA/QC Manager in our St. Louis, MO office to add to our growing traffic and transportation planning team.

Our Transportation Planning and Traffic Team is a growing and collaborative group offering our regional clients full-service transportation planning and traffic design capabilities. This position will have the opportunity to make a daily impact on Garver's projects by being involved in a variety of project-types with diverse clients and working collaboratively with internal project teams, to expand our transportation planning and traffic services.

The ideal candidate would have 15+ years of related experience, a sharp technical background, and strong passion for the profession. The position will offer the candidate an opportunity to play a key role in analyzing and designing exciting projects for our DOT and municipal clients across our client footprint.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team. This position will be supervised by a Senior Project Manager and offers outstanding growth opportunity and career advancement to the right individual.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Performing and reviewing traffic studies, simulation and level of service analysis
  • Reviewing all elements of traffic engineering deliverables (studies, traffic design, ITS) for clients across our footprint
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients

Additional duties include:
  • Assisting with project management to identify project scopes, fees, and monitoring project progress.
  • Maintaining a client-focused, service attitude by tracking budgets, and keeping projects on schedule.
  • Preparing project proposals and giving interviews for project pursuits
  • Performing direct client marketing and developing relationships with existing clients within our service area
  • Mentoring less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree for an ABET accredited engineering program
  • 15+ years of experience with traffic specific projects
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or have ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Working knowledge of traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS is required
  • Experience in analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts
  • Experience reviewing traffic design (Signals, Signing, Lighting) and ITS elements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil engineering
  • Experience in marketing and managing local government projects
  • Experience working with MODOT and municipalities in Missouri
  • Experience working with large teams in multiple locations
  • Experience supervising and managing team members as well as mentoring less experienced staff
  • Knowledge and experience of developing a new business and relationships is a plus
  • Certification as a PTOE and/or RSP
