Description:Under the direction of the Regional Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services, and the Ministry Director, and/or the Manager of Imaging, the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor provides administrative, operational, and technical leadership for assigned imaging modality(ies). This role oversees clinical operations, business services, staff development, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning across one or multiple sites, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective imaging services aligned with hospital and departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and operational leadership for assigned imaging modality(ies), including clerical and business operations
- Exercise independent judgment in personnel, operational, and budgetary matters
- Monitor and manage capital and operating expenses to remain within budget
- Participate in short- and long-term strategic planning, including implementation of new imaging technologies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, State/Federal agencies, MQSA, OSHA, ACR, DEP)
- Oversee regional processes, workflows, accreditation activities, and quality initiatives
- Provide indirect regional leadership to modality leads across assigned ministries or sites
- Assume Department Head responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Director
- Ensure staff orientation, training, competency validation, and professional development
- Support departmental and interdepartmental collaboration through effective communication
- Provide after-hours leadership coverage for emergent operational issues
- Lead special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an AMA or JRCERT approved school of radiologic technology required. Bachelor's Degree in preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist including a minimum of one (1) year of lead/supervisory experience required, preferably in an acute care setting. Previous experience with an MQSA Q/C and ACR Accreditation review experience preferred.
- A.R.R.T. registered, and state licensure in radiography and assigned modality required.
