Overview

The Role

Lead mechanical and electrical operations across two waterpark locations. Oversee all ride systems, water treatment, electrical controls, and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and guest safety. Manage a team of maintenance technicians and serve as the mechanical expert partner to park leadership.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, and water treatment systems; diagnose issues and coordinate repairs across both parks
  • Oversee electrical troubleshooting on pump motors, VFDs, controls, and safety systems; ensure electrical safety in wet/corrosive environments
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance for water filtration, treatment, and water quality systems
  • Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians; drive safety culture and continuous improvement
  • Manage parts inventory, coordinate specialized vendors, and address maintenance needs promptly
  • Plan seasonal maintenance and capital equipment upgrades; prepare budgets and report on operations to leadership

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years mechanical and electrical maintenance in amusement parks, waterparks, or mission-critical operational environments
  • Advanced expertise with high-capacity pumps, motors, VFDs, and electrical controls
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electrical safety in wet/corrosive environments
  • Experience with water treatment, filtration systems, and water chemistry testing
  • Proven team leadership and supervisory experience; advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of ASTM F24 standards and ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training; familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel between locations; ability to lift 50 lbs; comfortable at heights and in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
  • Electrical certification or formal electrical systems training
  • Pool Operator Certification or water treatment systems background
  • PLC programming or industrial control systems experience
  • ASTM F24 ride inspection certification; vendor relationship management experience

The pay range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000.
