Full Job Description
Regional Sales Manager focusing on California. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for directing the activities of the sales organization, developing sales strategies for new business and retention of existing business within each region to maximize the company's revenue and operating income objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and provides semi-annual regional business plan to senior management
  • Guides and directs Territory Representatives to develop and implement semi-annual business plans by sales location to meet sales and operating income goals
  • Ensures sales operation team supports business plan objectives through validation of intake and customer maintenance processes
  • Monitors and fulfills training needs of Sales Representatives
  • Facilitates sales training programs in the field including boot camp and ride-alongs
  • Develop sales tracking systems (competition, account activity, sales activity)
  • Analyzes sales trends, new business to annuity, product group sales, potential accounts
  • Analyzes and structures sales territories to meet budgets
  • Plans / conducts sales meetings
  • Monitors competitive activities and develops competitive strategies to respond to these activities
  • Monitors the usage of company equipment assigned to staff
  • Identifies new programs for development by the Marketing Department
  • Support in the recruitment process of candidates by interviewing, providing feedback, and selection
  • Actively engages in new hire orientation, training, and setting employee goals
  • Participation in performance management through reviews, disciplinary action, and performance improvement plans
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned by manager
  • Develop key accounts in assigned region
  • Manage sales team activity pipeline with utilizing provided tools and reports such as Salesforce
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and company events
  • Required to travel up to 75% of the time to work with sales team in assigned region

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five years' sales management experience preferably in the healthcare field
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Proven track record of sales management success and track record of meeting budgets through sales teams
  • Experience in hiring, training, and developing sales teams in highly competitive markets
  • Knowledge of managed care market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • $120,000- $135,000 annually plus bonus opportunity

The posted range for this position is $120-135k which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay withing the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
