Regional Sales Manager

Illinois and Michigan Territory
Preferred Location: Chicagoland Area

We have been engaged by a global leader in packaging and processing equipment to identify a high-performing Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow their Illinois and Michigan territory.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building business, developing relationships, and creating success within a territory that offers tremendous upside. The territory previously generated approximately $2.7 million in annual revenue but has been under-covered for some time and is ready for a strong sales professional to revitalize and grow it.

The ideal candidate is a true hunter who can identify opportunities, open new accounts, close business, and expand existing customer relationships. Experience turning around underperforming territories is highly desirable, but we are also open to ambitious, mechanically inclined sales professionals who are eager to learn, work hard, and build a highly lucrative career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow the Illinois and Michigan territory with the majority of business concentrated in Illinois
  • Develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships within existing accounts
  • Sell a complete line of industry-leading packaging and processing equipment and related solutions
  • Generate and follow up on leads, manage projects, and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Participate in regional and national trade shows and industry events
  • Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs and recommend solutions

Compensation and Benefits

Travel Requirements

This is a field-based sales role requiring regular travel throughout the territory. Candidates should expect overnight travel on a weekly basis, typically 2 to 3 days per week, although some weeks may require additional travel depending on customer needs, trade shows, and business opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Experience selling packaging equipment, process equipment, automation equipment, inspection systems, vision systems, labeling equipment, weighing systems, printing systems, track and trace solutions, or related industrial equipment preferred
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales territory
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical curiosity
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and driven to exceed sales goals
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Must reside in Illinois or Michigan, with strong preference given to candidates located in the Chicagoland area
