Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a DI Regional Sales Manager. This position is a key driver of Ameritas' Disability Income growth strategy, responsible for expanding sales across DI Focused, A&A, and IDC distribution channels. Working closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Internal Wholesalers, and field partners, this role delivers DI expertise, training, and consultative support to strengthen relationships, increase producer engagement, and drive revenue growth.
• This position is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Drive Disability Income (DI) sales growth across all distribution channels, including DI Focused (DIF), A&A, and IDC, by deepening existing relationships and expanding broker engagement within assigned territories.
- Lead efforts to expand DI penetration within the A&A channel by partnering with external wholesalers, participating in agency meetings, supporting advanced planning discussions, and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Conduct regular agency visits and field engagements to strengthen relationships, uncover sales opportunities, and support advisor business development initiatives.
- Partner closely with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Internal Wholesalers, and external distribution partners to execute territory strategies that drive both breadth and depth of producer / agency productivity.
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with corporate and sales objectives, with accountability for achieving sales, revenue, and growth targets within assigned relationships and markets.
- Deliver customized DI training programs through on-site meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions tailored to agency and advisor needs.
- Foster stronger field relationships by providing consultative sales support and solutions that help producers incorporate DI into their client planning practices.
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and sales opportunities to identify growth strategies and support ongoing business development efforts within assigned relationships.
- Articulate the competitive advantages of Ameritas DI products through compelling sales concepts, product positioning, case consultation, and effective communication of policy features and client value.
- Build trusted partnerships with agencies, advisors, and distribution leaders through consistent field engagement, responsiveness, and a commitment to supporting long-term sales success.
- Actively participate in industry conferences and association events, to build relationships with industry peers and stay informed on market trends and competitive developments.
- Provide a developmental pathway toward future leadership opportunities, including progression into a Regional Vice President role.
What you bring:
- College Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Needs a minimum of 5+ years of DI (Disability Income) proven sales and industry experience, as well as creativity and superior problem solving skills
- Strong aptitude for sales, leadership and coaching, and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Life and health licenses are a plus
