Full Job Description
Your Role:

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for driving revenue growth within a designated area in North America by leading a sales team, establishing regional targets, executing strategic initiatives, analyzing market trends, and nurturing key client relationships. This role serves as a vital connection between field sales and corporate leadership, enhancing performance and achieving company objectives. Additionally, the RSM will oversee approximately $60+ million in business, ensuring effective management and growth. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader capable of coaching the team on effective selling tactics. Core responsibilities include strategic planning, motivating and training the team, forecasting sales, and tailoring company offerings to meet local market demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning: Formulate and implement regional sales strategies, establish quotas, and project sales to align with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a team of sales representatives to achieve high performance.
  • Performance Management: Track sales metrics, evaluate performance, and ensure that targets are consistently met or surpassed.
  • Client & Market Relations: Develop and sustain relationships with key accounts, identify new market opportunities, and collect customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Operations: Manage regional sales operations, oversee budgets, and coordinate distribution activities.


Location: United States - preference for candidates to be located in states within the territory - CO, WA, OR, ID, WY, SD, NE, KS, MN, WI,MI

Travel: 50% travel within the assigned territory, emphasizing the geographically based nature of the role

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in sciences, business, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 8 years of demonstrated experience in sales management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences, including internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Proficient in data analysis and sales forecasting, with the ability to interpret market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively, both internally and externally.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in relevant fields of study, preferred Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 year's experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a regional or national capacity.
  • Experience in coaching sales representatives on effective selling tactics and strategies, with a focus on professional development.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools to manage sales processes and data effectively.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing strategic sales initiatives that align with overall business goals.
  • Experience in managing budgets and overseeing regional sales operations to ensure financial targets are met.


Pay Range for this position: $166,400 - $307,100

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
