Position Summary

Manages and oversees safety compliance, training, accident reporting, and investigations for an assigned region.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Tracks and manages the completion of safety compliance training.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Oversees the formation and development of safety committees in the terminals.
  • Coaches and trains employees in safety procedures.
  • Audits facilities to validate if corrections, return inspections, and repairs are completed.
  • Directs and implements processes and procedures to eliminate workplace injuries.
  • Manages the direction regarding the proper handling and management of accidents and hazardous material incidents.
  • Identifies accidents as preventable or nonpreventable.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of safety experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Transportation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations.
  • Certified Safety Professional certification.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
