We are looking for a dedicated
Regional Safety Manager to join our team in Concord, CA.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Safety Policy Implementation
- Implement and enforce company safety policies through personal interaction with project teams and field leaders and employees on jobsites.
- Teach, coach, and mentor the company's Safety Culture through Production Risk Management (PRM). May assist with training efforts, based on department needs.
Compliance and Evaluation
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate safety program implementation & compliance.
- Write & review safety documentation (Job Hazard Analysis, incident reports, pictures, traffic control plans, pothole excavation plan, etc.) at each jobsite visited.
- Attend daily safety meetings, providing Safety Training and awareness.
Hazard Identification and Prevention
- Proactively identify hazards to prevent harm to employees, equipment, and the environment.
- Investigate & document incidents, accidents, and near misses at the scene.
Incident/Risk Management
- Track progress of "Future Preventative Measures" from incident investigations to completion.
- Utilize resources (local, state, federal) to evaluate risk management effectiveness.
RequirementsQualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent safety experience.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy construction safety.
- Experience leading safety training, workshops or courses related to civil construction
- Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course.
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
Preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience developing and managing safety programs.
Additional Requirements- Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends and possibly overtime as required.
