Regional Quality Manager

Your role on the team:

  • Compliance support:
    • Serves as the Regional leader for the Geodis Compliance programs.
    • Supports the implementation of corporate compliance programs.
    • Provides guidance on compliance with governmental regulations, customer specifications, and internal policies
    • Supports local Compliance Committees and validates performance
    • Supports members of the Compliance department within their region
    • Participates and supports operations in regulatory and third-party audits when possible, such as: C-TPAT, OSHA, FAA, FDA, EPA, ISO, AIB, SQF, FTZ, TSA, USDA, ATF.
    • Conducts audits to ensure compliance with the GEODIS compliance program
    • Identifies areas of non-compliance and works with management to meet these challenges
    • Assist in accident, injury, near-miss and unsafe conditions' investigations
    • Participates in the Corrective Action process relevant to compliance issues
    • Engages in new/expanded business, customer relocation and overflow opportunities to ensure infrastructure and regulatory requirements are planned for to meet Compliance requirements
    • Reports compliance directives and issues to management.
    • Investigates General Liability claims and communicates to Geodis Risk management
    • Travels frequently to GEODIS sites and routinely interacts with personnel to monitor all established compliance activities in place. Ensure that they are effective and continue to produce desired results.
    • Interviews, hires, and trains their direct report employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems
    • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Quality support
    • This position exists to support the Quality Management System (ISO, FDA) at the facilities within determined region
    • The manager is responsible for mentoring members of Quality and Compliance team within the region
    • Recommends regional and corporate wide improvements; ensure quality compliance and customer satisfaction
    • Assist in implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective regional Quality program using ISO 9000 principles
    • Develops, collects, and reports quality metrics as needed to executive management
    • Provides budgetary inputs for training and ongoing quality activities to meet near and long-term contract requirements
    • Ensures Quality staff is trained, conducts annual personnel assessments and other personnel management responsibilities, as required
    • Inputs to the annual audit plan and audit requirements based on customer feedback, managers' input, internal and external audit results, which determines the inspection and audit type, scope, frequency, and methods of sampling


What you need:

  • Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination education and experience
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Aware of laws and regulations that affect the organization's policies
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and assimilate regulations and technical documents
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and high-demanding environment
  • Dynamic leadership skills
