REGIONAL QUALITY MANAGER (BESS)SUMMARY The Regional Quality Manager provides onsite quality inspections and oversite regarding solar project s to ensure standards are upheld. This position reports to the Senior Director of Quality , or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate . This position is remote or on-site at a specified jobsite and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 40%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the Quality Control programs by designing and implementing robust solutions to mitigate defined Quality Control risks across the lifecycle of the PV Power Plants and BESS Plants , especially during construction. Quality Control programs include among others supervision, auditing, inspections, and management review
- Ensure the Quality Control programs are up to date and in compliance with QCELLS USA standards, and Local, State and Federal Regulations
- Develop Site-Specific Quality Plans, including the associated inspection and Test Plans
- Verify in-field activities at various PV Power and BESS Plant locations
- Prepare site-specific Quality Control Verification Checklists
- Develop work instructions to ensure that quality control processes are in place for each key activity performed on site
- Monitor the status of deficiencies (Non-Conformance and Quality Incident Reports), ensure root cause analyses are carried out and corrective actions are defined and implemented in a timely manner
- Prepare weekly and monthly Quality reports as required by management and contractual requirements with customers
- Responsible for relevant quality communications regarding best practices, lessons learned, updates to the field, recent events, regional newsletters, update on quality incidents and end of project value added summaries
- Manage all construction quality processes with our general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades and commissioning agents
- Communicate with stakeholders to plan Quality requirements and develop Quality Audit plan s
- Identify Quality Training needs and design and deliver Quality Training for our employees and stakeholders
- Create a quality culture of continuous improvement that enhances company efficiency and project quality
- Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of experience in Quality Auditing and in-field quality management; including, but not limited to preparing Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Inspection Checklists , Work instructions and/ or Methods of Statements
- Proven experience in energy sector construction, with a focus on utility-scale projects
- Identifying Quality Training Needs, designing and implementing Training Programs and delivering Quality Training to manage Quality operational risks
- Experience with Procore , SmartSheets or related Project Management software
- K nowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Construction. Engineering, or related field OR, diploma and equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Building Codes, National Electrical Code, and ASTM Standards
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO14001 or ISO 45001 preferred
- NABCEP certified preferred (PVIP, PVSI, PVCMS)
- Knowledge of PV Solar Plants structural, electrical, mechanical and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) equipment preferred
