Full Job Description
We are currently searching for an experienced Regional Marketing & Proposal Manager to support our Mid-Atlantic Region(VA, DC, MD, PA, and WV), headquartered in Springfield, VA. In this role, you will manage our region-wide marketing team and lead our efforts to win new business.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree and experience managing proposal staff on multi-contributor proposals, preferably in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the region's proposal development staff and partnering with discipline leads and regional leadership to win new and repeat business
  • Leading the full pursuit lifecycle - tracking CIPs and opportunities; assessing RFP technical, financial, schedule, and compliance requirements; defining scope; and driving the go/no-go decision
  • Facilitating brainstorming, storyboarding, and strategy sessions with technical leads and proposal managers to shape winning approaches
  • Personally preparing proposals as needed to accommodate department workload while overseeing the team's proposal production: compliance checklists, production timelines, technical writing assignments, and internal quality reviews
  • Reviewing the writing, editing, formatting, and graphics of every final document to confirm it is persuasive, professional, and compliant
  • Supporting proposal manager in preparing technical teams for presentations and client interviews
  • Overseeing the maintenance of project descriptions, resumes, and qualifications packages
  • Capturing lessons learned and high-performing content at the close of each pursuit
  • Recommending and developing policies and procedures that strengthen future submissions
  • Supporting client and business development with the creation of collateral and other client meeting and conference materials
  • Contributing to the company's digital brand presence with submission of regional news


What you need to have:

  • A demonstrated passion for serving clients, our employees, the public, and our profession
  • Bachelor's degree and experience managing proposal staff on multi-contributor proposals, preferably in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry
  • Ability to manage and produce multiple concurrent proposals from pre-advertisement through submission in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Exceptional persuasive writing and editing skills with a strict eye for detail
  • A collaborative, team-oriented working style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite strongly desired
