POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Marketing Leader is a vital member of our dynamic team, contributing to the overall success of Manhattan's procurement goals and marketing initiatives, while ensuring a consistent and positive brand image in the market.
As a part of Manhattan's marketing team, the senior marketing specialist works under the direction of corporate marketing and regional leadership to which they are assigned. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership, business development, and technical teams to design, develop, and produce compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that powerfully communicate key differentiators and benefits. The key responsibilities include:

Proposal/Presentation Development and Management:
  • Support Business Development with pursuit plans and client outreach marketing collateral ahead of RFP release.
  • Lead SOQs/proposals, manage proposal planning process, establish pursuit team content assignments, internal deadlines, and lead times.
  • Gather content from the pursuits team, internal resources, and consultants.
  • Provide page layout, produce SOQs/proposals for digital and print reproduction, including editing and graphics.
  • Develop presentations and organize rehearsals in collaboration with the business development team.

Content Creation and Editing:
  • Generate client-specific content for proposals and presentations, including writing/editing text, design layout, custom graphics, tailoring resumes, and integrating schedules, with input from the marketing director, business developer, project director, and technical team.
  • Conduct interviews with project team members to identify project challenges and solutions and develop written content to communicate the project story for use in marketing materials.
  • Write and edit project approaches and logistics plans, incorporating winning strategies, and demonstrate how these approaches help clients achieve their project goals.
  • Ensure all written content aligns with the company's brand voice and proposal guidelines.

Compliance and Documentation:
  • Identify and monitor SOQ/proposal criteria, ensuring full compliance.
  • Handle production logistics and arrange for the timely delivery of SOQs/proposals.
  • Embrace and implement brand standards consistently across all marketing materials.

Information Management:
  • Maintain systems for extracting, categorizing, and retrieving information related to clients, consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, and visuals.
  • Ensure adherence to marketing archive procedures and electronic file structure, access, and backup procedures.
  • Online Presence:
  • Support the firm's online presence, including social media and websites.
  • Create and schedule social media content

Public Relations and Communications:
  • Draft press releases under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Director.
  • Support public relations efforts under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Director.

Awards and Events Coordination:
  • Prepare and coordinate awards competition entries.
  • Organize special events organized by the firm/company.
  • Interview the technical team and develop winning content for awards submissions.

Photography Coordination:
  • Coordinate project and promotional photography.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright laws and photographer usage rights.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES GUIDELINES:
  • Understanding of basic business development principles.
  • Ability to interview technical team members, write and edit technical content and communications effectively.
  • Ability to contribute to and advise on proposal strategy.
  • Knowledge of database concepts.
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking.

  • Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Basic understanding of go/no-go processes.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding SOQ/proposal production, including digital and printing/binding.
  • Passion for participating in professional development and community-focused organizations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree recommended.
  • 8 or more years of relevant A/E/C experience required.
  • Recommended: Attend SMPS and other relevant industry workshops; familiar with SMPS Six Domains of Professional Services Marketing.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
  • Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).
