Regional Manager
We are seeking a Regional Manager to lead our third-party logistics operations across a defined territory. This role oversees employees and independent contract carriers, merchandise delivery, and warehouse operations at multiple facilities. The Regional Manager will lead recruiting efforts, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead local teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Key Responsibilities
- Network Optimization: Design and implement transportation routes, distribution strategies, and inventory flows to reduce transit times and improve efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor facility general managers, supervisors and dispatchers, fostering a high-performance, safety-first work environment. Recruit independent contract carriers.
- Data analytics: Lead analytics initiatives that use KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve logistics performance and reduce costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze KPIs, transportation costs, delivery performance, and network efficiency to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process excellence.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5 to 7+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain management experience, including multi-site or regional oversight.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and data analytics tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong financial acumen, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to make fast, data-driven decisions during disruptions.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000, depending on experience; plus, benefits and potential for bonus.
- Environment: Hybrid role with responsibilities split between remote leadership and on-site warehouse operations. Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory is required.
