Regional Maintenance Manager

The Regional Maintenance Manager works closely with location and region and corporate management teams to provide maintenance in depth maintenance support. The position also involves ensuring a safe environment exists and that all maintenance activities comply with State, Federal, and Company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitors, evaluates, and takes corrective action for improved performance of maintenance operations within region.
  • Examines and evaluates current operations to develop action plans and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Fills in as Maintenance Manager when vacancies occur and assist General Managers with hiring new Maintenance Managers.
  • Trains and monitors new and current technicians and Maintenance Manager in company requirements.
  • Reviews KPI, and financial reports to identify problems/ challenge areas.
  • Participates in start-ups and shutdowns as necessary.
  • Assists with compliance regarding all environmental programs.
  • Conducts annual vehicle audits for all locations in region.
  • Monitors completion of maintenance related deficiencies reported on corporate audits.
  • Provides feedback to General Managers and Region Staff as to the performance of maintenance managers in region
  • Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Maintenance or RVP.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • ASE Master certified
  • Advance technical training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five years' proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry maintenance management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various performance indicators including KPI, Octave and financial statements.
  • Independent thinking skills with high levels of prioritization skills.
  • Excellent leadership, customer relations, and interpersonal skills to communicate and cooperate with clients and other departments.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and tools.

Physical Requirements
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
