Regional HR Generalist at Oak View Group will have a broad scope of responsibilities, including new account hiring and recruitment support, employee benefits and compensation communication, employment law compliance, and other duties as assigned. This position will support the OVG Corporate People & Culture team in all aspects of administrative and strategic Human Resources functions. Working closely with the HR Business Partner team, the Regional HR Generalist will focus on proactive employee relations and field support for venues requiring HR assistance. This role will collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team and departments across OVG to support and enhance the employee experience.
This role pays an annual salary of $75,000 - $90,000 CAD

- Maintain knowledge of applicable leave, accommodation, accessibility, and human rights legislation, including employment standards, protected leaves, disability management, and duty-to-accommodate requirements.
- Under the guidance of senior HR leaders, investigate employee concerns and support employee relations matters, including documentation, policy interpretation, resolution recommendations, corrective action, policy enforcement, and offboarding activities.
- Support locations with their union workforce, understand CBA's and support the Corporate Labour Relations Team.
- Explain and provide information regarding employee benefit programs, respond to employee inquiries, and assist in resolving benefits-related concerns.
- Support employee development initiatives and performance improvement processes.
- With the Corporate Transition team, coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new locations.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of company policies and procedures to employees and business leaders.
- Maintain employee records, monitor HR metrics, and generate reports utilizing the HRIS system while ensuring compliance with applicable privacy legislation.
- Serve as a liaison between Corporate People Operations and venue leadership by answering questions, communicating updates, and sharing feedback.
- Support People Operations Transition Leads and hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process.
- Partner with the Corporate People Operations team to support strategic HR initiatives and programs.
- Assist with special HR projects as directed by the Vice President, Human Resources.
- Provide general administrative support to the OVG People Operations team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Professional HR designation such as CHRP, CHRL, CHRE, CPHR, or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, sometimes with little warning.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment standards, human rights legislation, workplace accommodation requirements, privacy regulations, and labour laws.
- Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). ADP and ICIMS preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to represent Oak View Group professionally and positively in all interactions.
- Working knowledge of HR best practices and industry-specific HR trends and practices.
- Experience supporting employees across multiple Canadian provinces and interpreting provincial employment standards and labour legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and employee coaching skills.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities with a solid understanding of employee and business needs.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating complex employee situations.
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
