Position Title: Regional Equipment Manager

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Equipment Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function. Responsible for identifying necessary attachments and shop work required to fulfill Retail Sales orders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SALES RELATED TASKS
  • Sales invoicing, create invoices on sold machine and attachments.
  • Match invoices to signed quotes, verify calculations are accurate, then cross reference information with the finance team.
  • Complete the sales analysis on all Whole good sales to proof the worksheet and confirm our expected margins.
  • Create and upkeep the potential folder with all pending deals.
  • Source attachments for all pending deals; includes positioning them in the proper location.
  • Work closely with the service department to prepare service requests and confirm accurate PDI/delivery dates.
  • Schedule delivery with coordinator of the unit.
  • Support the sales team with quotes on both equipment and attachments.
  • Approve and validate CRM quotes for accuracy to determine all costs have been accounted for.
  • Determine trade in values.

2. FLEET RELATED TASKS
  • Study inventory regularly; including equipment/attachments inventory and on order items to ensure we have the proper stock.
  • Communicate with manufacturers on current pricing, quotes, and delivery lead times.
  • Maintain proper levels of inventory in each branch location to fulfill most orders.
  • Closely monitor rental fleet levels and utilization.
  • Approve additions to rental fleet. Managing both new, used, and rental fleet levels.
  • Approve demo and loan requests.
  • Create insurance values when needed.
  • Work with purchasing team when orders are needed.
  • Update and maintain CDK as needed.
  • Search K-view for arriving unit from Komatsu and advise sales team.

3. RENTAL TASKS
  • Manage Rental Coordinator/Truck Driver:
  • Including but not limited to: setting schedules, approving time cards/time off requests, and figuring out coverage when someone is out.
  • Oversee large rental quotes and help with discounting scenarios.
  • Approve rental credits.
  • Annual reviews.
  • Look for new ideas to create revenue.
  • Search new products and manufacturers.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cooperates with employees of other departments.
  • Assist Sales Manager & V.P. of Sales with tasks as assigned.
  • Submit requests to vendors for additional discounts.
  • Meet with manufacturing to keep track of new pricing/policies.
  • Assist with walk in customer inquiring about product and services.
  • Trade show support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
  • 5 plus years' experience in purchasing and operations, with minimum (2) years heavy equipment experience or comparable job experience.
  • 1-2 years of management experience required.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with customers, vendors, sales representatives, fellow employees, and management including interaction with other company branches.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and have a strong attention for detail.
