Full Job Description
Xylem is hiring a Regional Director-South, to support Xylem's Transport division within Water Infrastructure.

The Regional Director, US South plays a critical leadership role in servicing municipal wastewater customers, with a focus on Flygt® pumping solutions, including the Flygt 3000 product line. This senior operational leader is responsible for owning the performance, profitability, and culture of multiple Xylem Service Centers across the region. The role sets the strategic direction for regional operations, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes, disciplined operational performance, and profitable growth. The Regional Director, US South is accountable for driving results across multiple service locations by supporting local managers in delivering best-in-class customer service, operational excellence, and safety performance. Success in this role requires strong operational leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for developing talent while strengthening customer partnerships and advancing a culture aligned with Xylem's Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of aftermarket sales and service activities to achieve budgeted sales and profitability targets.
  • Lead the performance, profitability, and operational culture of multiple Xylem Service Centers within the US South region.
  • Manage a large, multi-location team of service and operations professionals.
  • Own branch profit and loss performance and present financial results, forecasts, and operational updates to upper management on a regular basis.
  • Partner with the Sales team to develop and execute strategies that increase aftermarket revenue and expand customer relationships.
  • Maintain and improve workflows, processes, and systems to drive financial and operational excellence.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve business goals.
  • Develop and implement workload allocation strategies across multiple locations to improve quality, efficiency, and lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA, and EEOC requirements.
  • Fulfill customer, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements accurately and on time.
  • Coach, develop, and performance-manage team members while fostering a high-performing culture aligned with Xylem's Core Values.
  • Ensure all safety standards, programs, and procedures are maintained and consistently followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent applicable industry experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial and/or related leadership experience within a complex operations environment.
  • Previous business management experience, including direct P&L responsibility.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pumps, pumping systems, equipment rental, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with minimal supervision and make sound business decisions in a dynamic environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Strong business acumen with proven operational and financial management capability.
  • Ability to lead large teams across multiple locations and drive accountability for results.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs, hydraulics, water flow, and diesel, gas, and electric motors preferred.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership development skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and execution excellence.


The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
