Regional Director of Rehabilitation - Nashville, TN.

POSITION GOAL
To oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple Rehabilitation locations as assigned by System Director in the most efficient manner possible. Ensuring the rehabilitation departments is meeting the needs of the patients as well as the physicians.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide oversight for development, direction and coordination of all Rehabilitation staff within designated locations (including but not limited to providing coverage in a time of need).
• Facilitate staff/regional meetings with each director individually at least once a month.
• Communicate with team (supervisor) on a bi-weekly basis, or more often concerning the financial/needs of their clinics.
• Communicate with other regional directors on a consistent basis concerning rehabilitation strategies, trends, and financials (minimum once a quarter).
• Update rehabilitation policies and procedures.
• Review rehabilitation workflow and processes to ensure billing and documentation requirements are met daily (i.e., PT/OT orders, procedure documentation, signed forms. etc. within their set location).
• Develop, oversee, and maintain departmental budgets, reporting on variances in budget system monthly and overall oversight of budget within their set location.
• Report trends, monthly totals, and needs of regional departments to supervisor.
• Maintain all PT/OT regulatory guidelines and standards for set locations.
• Manage all aspects of PT/OT inventory management, including but not limited to: supply ordering, receiving, stocking, payment of supplier invoices, reviewing and facilitating all requests for new products, reporting product abnormalities, ensuring staff are appropriately trained and scheduled to meet all patient needs.
• Assist staff and physicians with problem solving regarding the type of brace and fitting that best suits the patient and their specific needs.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with the patients, physicians, staff, and corporate staff.
• Ensure PT staff are providing direct patient care activities as assigned.
• Ensure quality patient care is provided by all therapists within their area.
• Ensure all physicians• needs are met regarding rehabilitative services within assigned areas.
• Ensure the Rehab department is Medicare compliant and that billing is appropriate.
• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy (PT) treatments for patients suffering from injuries or disease and restore function, prevent disability and relieve pain.
• Consult with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of PT/OT factors on patient heath status.
• Document findings, treatments and other patient information for medical record as necessary. Bill patients according to proper procedures.
• Educate patient/family on appropriate care and use various therapies and/or exercises.
• Serve as an information and education resource for patients, families and other members of their regional therapy staff.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
• Recommend solutions to patient care problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Essential Functions: Requires full range of body motion including handling or lifting/assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods. Occasional stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs. May require assisting patients to and from wheelchairs, vehicles, stretchers, etc. Working under stressful conditions in a fast-paced work environment.
