DESCRIPTION

POSITION PROFILE:

As Regional Director of Operations for Southern California, you'll set the service and management philosophy for a portfolio of our hotels - making sure each one meets or exceeds its operational goals, budget, and guest satisfaction targets while living up to Palisociety brand standards.

You'll oversee and support a group of hotels across Southern California. Partnering closely with our corporate leaders in F&B, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Accounting, and Human Resources, you'll help protect the culture, product, and brands that make us who we are. This role involves extensive travel, and only candidates residing in Southern California will be considered.

THE TASK AT HAND:

  • Maintain effective training programs so Hotel and F&B teams are productive, have the tools they need, and meet uniform and appearance standards.
  • Keep communication flowing by leading weekly meetings with General Managers and Hotel Managers in your Region.
  • Maintain Front Desk, F&B, Engineering, and Operations manuals and create and roll out new or updated SOPs across all disciplines.
  • Partner with Corporate Human Resources on employee matters and ensure adherence to labor laws in every market.
  • Attend property department and safety meetings, and ensure every property holds regular Safety Committee meetings and complies with all OSHA regulations.
  • Champion an exceptional guest experience across every property.
  • Lead monthly guest experience meetings with managers and report results on regular calls with Palisociety leadership and ownership groups.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition, cleanliness, styling, and product and service quality of every Property.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly recorded walkthroughs and quarterly scored Property Standards Inspections (PSI) with property teams, owning all corrective actions and follow-up.
  • Partner with the Palisociety design team on ongoing FF&E and CapEx projects, managing follow-up with property teams.
  • Maximize financial performance by monitoring Hotel Operations and F&B results against budget and managing departmental checkbooks monthly.
  • Participate in the annual budget process and submit monthly variance commentaries for each property, reporting results on ownership calls.
  • Stay actively involved in Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management, driving key metrics (RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy).
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing leadership to build strategies that capture room sales potential, then oversee execution - removing obstacles and securing the resources needed to hit targets.
  • Champion the Palisociety service vision, working with management teams on an operational strategy aligned with our business strategy and brand standards.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with ownership.
  • Support hotel pre-openings and openings, and cover properties onsite in a task force or regular coverage role as needed.

  • A commitment to exceptional, on-brand guest service.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and AI tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including for extended periods when needed.
  • Flexible Schedule, able to work weekends and holidays when needed.
