Full Job Description
Regional Director of Operations

The Regional Director of Operations will report directly to the Regional Vice President and will oversee several branches across the region. While the role provides broader regional oversight, as the company continues to strengthen and expand its presence in this market, this position will drive operational performance, customer retention, financial

improvement, leadership accountability, and regional growth while ensuring branch priorities are consistently executed.

Operational Focus
  • Maintain a consistent focus on customer retention by identifying account risks, addressing service concerns, and developing strategies to strengthen client relationships.
  • Review upcoming client rate increases and coordinate with operational and financial teams to ensure increases are implemented accurately and on schedule.
  • Review branch financial performance, including revenue, gross profit, labor performance, and budget variances, and develop corrective action plans where needed.
  • Audit payroll and invoice adjustments, identify recurring issues, and implement corrective measures to improve accuracy and reduce adjustments.
  • Audit regional vehicle inventory and related billing data to ensure accurate records, appropriate utilization, and proper client billing.
  • Audit overtime, unfilled shifts, and other labor hours, and develop strategies to reduce unnecessary labor costs and improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Analyze employee turnover trends and implement strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover.
  • Review regional equipment, uniform, technology, and supply usage to reduce unnecessary costs and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Oversee new account launches, major expansions, and client transitions to ensure staffing, training, equipment, and operational requirements are completed before implementation.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on branch leaders, including individual performance, progress against expectations, areas of improvement, and ongoing development needs.

Sales and Growth
  • Establish regional growth targets and regularly report progress, risks, and forecasted results to the Regional Vice President.
  • Track the regional sales pipeline, including lead status, proposal activity, expected revenue, and next steps, and hold branch leaders accountable for follow-up.
  • Submit weekly sales leads, audit lead-generation activity across the region, report on progress, and develop improvement plans where performance is below expectations.
  • Identify new business opportunities, target markets, and prospective clients that support regional growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services, locations, hours, or solutions with existing clients.
  • Review lost opportunities and unsuccessful proposals to identify trends and improve future sales strategies.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3-5 years prior Branch Manager, Regional Manager, or similar
  • Certification is relevant fields a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
