DescriptionWhat You'll Do:As our Regional Director of Operations (RDO), you will lead operational strategy across our bi-state portfolio of 6 communities in the Kansas City metro (2 in Kansas, 4 in Missouri), directly impacting the lives of our residents and the success of our teams by:
- Driving Regional Operational Excellence & Strategic Growth:
- Driving accountability across assigned communities to ensure each location consistently achieves financial and operational targets.
- Facilitating monthly and quarterly financial reviews, leading annual budgeting processes, and executing strategic growth plans.
- Identifying community-specific challenges and translating them into business- and resident-focused strategies.
- Developing and executing integration plans for new community onboardings, including operational policies, procedures, and financial projections.
- Exercising Executive Leadership & Team Development:
- Selecting, mentoring, managing, and holding high-performing Executive Directors accountable for community success.
- Fostering a culture of high associate morale and retention at the community level, aligned with Heritage's core values.
- Recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance-managing associates across the region in accordance with company policies.
- Identifying regional staff training needs and coordinating updated educational materials with the home office.
- Ensuring Resident-Centered Care & Regulatory Compliance:
- Creating innovative solutions and strategies to deliver care excellence, maximizing resident and family satisfaction.
- Ensuring full regulatory compliance across multi-state locations by enforcing uniform and consistent operational processes.
- Maintaining operational knowledge across all senior living departments (Sales & Marketing, Dining, Life Enrichment, EVS, HR, Maintenance).
- Ensuring strict confidentiality and oversight regarding HIPAA, resident, and associate information.
- Fostering Strategic Partnerships & Communication:
- Establishing and evolving positive working relationships with Heritage OnCare Health, vendors, and third-party healthcare providers.
- Communicating effectively across all organizational levels, from front-line community staff to executive leadership.
RequirementsWhat We're Looking For:- 5+ years of senior living management experience (multi-site operational oversight preferred).
- Active Assisted Living Administrator license/certification (or the ability to obtain one promptly).
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven ability to manage multi-site budgets, analyze financial statements, and think strategically.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasion skills to navigate complex and ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency with common office and industry-specific software (e.g., EHR/EMR, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
