Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Director at World Relief is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing multiple sites within a specific region. In addition to providing strategic direction and operational oversight, the Regional Director is actively involved in cultivating relationships with donors, foundations, and other funding sources to secure financial resources necessary for regional/state sustainability and growth. This role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and effective management of programs and resources across various locations. The Regional Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of World Relief's mission and objectives, while also fostering collaboration and synergy among the different sites. This position requires a strong ability to lead and inspire teams, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality program delivery in alignment with World Relief's standards and best practices. The Regional Director serves as a representative of World Relief in the region, advocating for refugees and immigrants, the organization's vision and values, and promoting positive change and impact in the communities served.

This is a hybrid role- 4 days in office/1 work from home.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the health and sustainability of all offices in the region. Lead the Site Managers/Site Directors in the region by:
• Communicating the mission, vision, values, and strategic directions of World Relief to regional offices and all staff.
• Providing leadership to direct reports by developing strategic plans for growth, sustainability and stabilization, and providing thorough communication, encouragement, prayer support, and accountability.
• Encouraging and assisting Site Manager/Site Directors in financial stability, church and community outreach and engagement.
• Leading regional fundraising efforts, cultivating regional and state relationships with important community partners and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Collaborating with the development and advocacy teams to meet financial targets and sustain and expand opportunities to serve refugees and immigrants for greater region/statewide impact.
• Engage regional and state stakeholders to expand quality resettlement and immigrant programming in the region/state. This includes seeking state-wide (public and private) funding opportunities and maintaining a strong connection with the State Refugee Coordinator's office.
• Develop, grow and lead a cohesive network of services, that leverages regional efficiencies across multiple offices to serve our constituency in the designated region and ensure good stewardship of resources.
• Contribute to the US Leadership Team and provide vital Field perspective to Senior Leadership through long-term and short-term planning in all areas as relevant to US Service Ministries such as:
  1. Strategy (development and implementation)
  2. Leadership training
  3. Marketing support
  4. Finance support
  5. Human Relations support
  6. Organizational efficiencies and appropriate stewardship of resources

Essential Functions:
• Direct supervision of Site Directors, Site managers, and other regional staff including individual performance management, maintaining scheduled routine communication (including on-site visits)
• Facilitate and/or provide program evaluation and new program development in terms of mission, vision, values, and strategic directions.
• Oversight of any potential church-based programs and/or new offices in the region.
• Monitor budget/spending for all offices in region and provide initial consultation and actions to address overspending.
• Provide consultative assistance to Site Directors/Managers in evaluating mission/strategic fit, financial cost/benefit in funding opportunities.
• Review organizational and personnel changes from all sites.
• Act as the primary collaborator with Home Office by attending appropriate network-wide meetings, cascading relevant updates and information, and providing feedback to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Ensure the annual maintenance of Office Profiles and Site Security Plans.
• Keep abreast of security incidents in the region and assist in closing Incident Reports when necessary.
• Assist the US leadership in developing and maintaining US Ministries resources and documentation.
• Provide interim leadership for staff transitions in offices of your region.
  • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Graduate degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Authorization to legally work in the US
  • Travel required - up to 50%


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple staff/departments and budgets over 1 million dollars
  • Experience managing multi-site operations preferred
  • Knowledge of US refugee and immigration policy and programming
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in team building and staff development
  • Experience managing state and federal grants, grant writing and fundraising
  • Cross-cultural experience: Experience with refugee populations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, and web-based interfaces such as SharePoint


$95,000 - $105,000 a year
