General Description:
The Regional Director of Hawaii Operations & Business Development is responsible for leading claims operations while driving business development and client acquisition for Synera Claims & Risk Solutions LLC. This role ensures efficient claims processing, regulatory compliance, and operational scalability while identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across all lines of business, including insurance carriers, self-insured entities, Captives, Risk Retention Groups, government agencies, and specialty and non-traditional insurance claim sectors. The Director will provide strategic leadership to expand the company's presence across all lines of business, ensure the seamless implementation of new client programs, foster operational excellence, and support the company's continued growth and long-term business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for regional claims operations to ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Direct the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of property, casualty, and specialty claims in accordance with client requirements, company standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand Synera's claims services across all lines of business by identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities with insurance carriers, self-insured organizations, Captives, Risk Retention Groups, government entities, and other commercial clients. Build and maintain strategic relationships that strengthen the Company's market presence and support long-term growth objectives.
Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, brokers, risk managers, and strategic business partners.
Lead the successful implementation and onboarding of new client programs, ensuring operational readiness, service quality, and contractual compliance.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic growth initiatives, evaluate new market opportunities, and expand service offerings.
Ensure claims operations consistently meet or exceed client service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, financial objectives, and performance metrics.
Develop and monitor operational performance indicators, claim outcomes, cycle times, leakage control initiatives, customer satisfaction metrics, and profitability objectives.
Establish and maintain appropriate staffing models, resource allocation, and succession planning to support business growth and operational scalability.
Recruit, mentor, coach, and evaluate management personnel and claims professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop and oversee vendor and independent adjuster networks to ensure quality service, geographic coverage, and cost-effective claim handling.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, licensing requirements, client contractual obligations, and company policies.
Partner with underwriting, risk management, legal counsel, finance, information technology, and other business units to support client objectives and organizational initiatives.
Evaluate and implement technologies, workflows, and process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness, reporting capabilities, and the client experience.
Prepare and present operational reports, business development updates, financial performance analyses, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Represent Synera Claims & Risk Solutions, LLC at client meetings, industry conferences, professional organizations, and business development events.
Support catastrophe response planning and provide executive oversight for regional catastrophic events and surge operations, as required.
Perform other leadership, operational, and business development responsibilities as assigned in support of the Company's strategic objectives.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in claims management, preferably in field adjusting and property & casualty insurance.
Proven experience in business development and client acquisition, with a track record of securing contracts with insurance carriers or related businesses.
Strong knowledge of claims processes, industry regulations, and best practices in independent adjusting.
Ability to negotiate service agreements, pricing models, and partnership contracts effectively.
Excellent relationship-building, sales, and networking skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and decision-makers.
Experience with CAT event claims handling and large-scale deployment of adjusters is a plus.
Proficiency in claims management software and data analytics to track performance and support decision-making.
Strong leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
Licenses and / or Certifications:
Independent Adjuster licenses in states serviced.
Language:
Effective ability to communicate in English orally and in written form with management, internal and external customers, including ability to provide highly effective customer service. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures, or regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external business partners /customers. Spanish speaking skills are a plus, but not required.
Math Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
