Full Job Description
The Regional Director oversees and supervises all business and operational activities in their region, managing, developing and growing the teams, business units, key clients and partners that drive local and regional growth.

The role ensures the region works towards Fifth Ring's vision and global standards, reviewing global work practices and directing the implementation of alternatives if needed, and serves as a senior ambassador for the agency within the geography and internationally.

Responsibilities:

Company
  • Develop and oversee business strategies and plans for the region, ensuring results are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of Fifth Ring globally.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans with finance teams and team leads, evaluating future growth opportunities and maximising existing resources through cost-effective operations and market development activities.
  • Provide strategic advice on local regulations and the regional market, drawing on HR, legal, finance and other experts where required.
  • Actively contribute to the planning and execution of Continued Business Improvements and the Executive Roadmap.
  • Coordinate with other Regional Directors to identify and implement procedures that comply with global standards while corresponding to regional relevancy.
  • Support the agency Finance team with fiscal forecasting, invoicing and resource planning for the region, and ensure compliance with local and regional administrative requirements.
  • Provide content and serve as an ambassador for Fifth Ring's marketing and networking activities, providing leadership to the marketing function and sourcing presentation opportunities to maximise visibility and showcase expertise.

Client
  • Work with the Business Development team on new-business pitches - assembling pitch teams and strategising for proposals and presentations.
  • Oversee the management and development of client account growth plans and relationships, and the management of client deliverables - on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards.
  • Account-manage key nominated client accounts, working with account managers to create clients' marcomms plans and acting as the strategic advisor in the implementation of activities.
  • Position themselves and Fifth Ring as the client's 'trusted advisor', and work with offices in other regions to identify growth areas and expand business globally.

Colleagues
  • Lead effective internal resource planning and management, including overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of new employees with colleagues and team leads.
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of regional teams, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
  • Work effectively with the Traffic Manager, Client Services teams and team leads to ensure client requirements are met, and with finance, admin and HR teams on their respective requirements.
  • Oversee the professional and emotional welfare of colleagues; identify Learning & Development opportunities, monitor performance on an ongoing basis and conduct timely performance appraisals.
  • Cultivate extensive informal networks inside and outside the agency to solve problems, and be a robust defender of the agency's values, people and commercial interests.

Requirements

Essential
  • Senior agency leadership experience with relevant regional / market knowledge
  • Strong commercial and P&L management
  • Proven client growth and senior relationship leadership
  • Excellent leadership, communication and team development, including recruitment, appraisals and L&D
  • Experience leading new-business pitches and proposals

Desirable
  • Degree in business, marketing, communications or related
  • International / multi-region experience
  • B2B and/or energy sector knowledge
