Regional ControllerReporting to the Finance Director, the
Regional Controller serves as the finance business partner within a multi-site manufacturing business unit with approximately $300MM in annual revenue. This hybrid role can be based in Plymouth, IN or Marysville, MI.
The Regional Controller provides financial leadership and decision support to Operations, Sales, and HR leadership teams while overseeing the financial performance of 6 regional locations. This position leads the budgeting and forecasting processes, drives accountability for results, identifies risks and opportunities, and helps execute strategies to improve profitability and operational performance.
The successful candidate will lead a team of 2 finance professionals and play a critical role in driving business performance through strong financial stewardship, operational partnership, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted finance business partner for Operations, Sales, and HR leadership.
- Lead the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning processes.
- Analyze and communicate business performance, including key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with plant leadership to improve profitability, productivity, and cost performance across all locations.
- Lead monthly financial reviews and provide actionable recommendations to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and financial controls.
- Support capital investment analysis, pricing decisions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and improve financial reporting, KPIs, and decision-support tools.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results, forecasts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 finance professionals.
- Travel up to 15%.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing finance, accounting, or controlling experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and partnering with business leaders.
- Previous people leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
- Proven ability to influence decisions, drive accountability, and translate financial data into business actions.
