Oversee all accounting and centralized financial operations for our entire Iowa/Illinois region. As a Regional Controller for Ed Morse Auto Group, you will standardize financial processes across regional stores, lead dealership office managers, and provide critical compliance and financial integration oversight for operations and expansion.

• Ensure all dealership operations within the region comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate accounting policies, and internal control frameworks

• Supervise, develop, and train Store Controllers; set performance standards and foster accountability

• Monitor profitability, asset management, and operational efficiency; identify issues and implement solutions

• Collaborate with General Managers and operations leadership to align financial goals with business objectives

• Provide accurate, timely financial reports and analysis to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities

• Often responsible for a multi-state or multi-market region, requiring travel and coordination across multiple locations

• Proven experience in automotive dealership accounting with strong CDK Global DMS proficiency
• Deep familiarity with the business, regulatory, and tax landscapes of Iowa and Illinois
• Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor regional accounting teams through high growth
• Local presence: Ability to be based out of the Quad Cities area for seamless regional support
• Expertise in GAAP and IFRS
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Deep familiarity with franchise dealership accounting, multi-brand operations, and retail automotive business models

• Strong experience in maintaining robust internal control environments in a high-volume, multi-location setting
