Purpose and MissionThe Regional Compliance Manager US is Bekaert's primary compliance resource for the United States. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and working closely with Internal Audit, the role translates Bekaert's global Ethics and Compliance framework into practical, risk-based action across the US organization. The position also executes and supports Internal Audit assignments.
Key Activities and Responsibilities- Act as the main Compliance contact and trusted advisor for the US organization, partnering with leadership, Legal, HR, Finance, Procurement, IT and operational teams.
- Implement global policies, controls, training, monitoring and remediation initiatives, adapted to US risks and business needs.
- Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks and regulatory developments, and translate them into practical business actions.
- Advise on anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, fraud, antitrust, sanctions and export controls, privacy and third-party risk.
- Support risk assessments, monitoring, testing, policy updates, training, communications and remediation projects.
- Support compliance due diligence and monitoring of higher-risk third parties.
- Provide US expertise on sanctions and trade compliance, including OFAC requirements, restricted-party risks, ownership and control, diversion risk, end-user and end-use controls, and export-control interfaces.
- Promote Speak Up channels and lead or coordinate whistleblowing, fraud and other internal investigations in line with Bekaert protocols and applicable law.
- Execute Internal Audit assignments by assessing processes and controls, interviewing auditees, reviewing documentation, performing and documenting tests, preparing reports with actionable recommendations, and following up on remediation plans.
- Contribute to forensic investigations and other business or functional initiatives.
- Share regional insights with the global Compliance team and collaborate closely with Internal Audit and other control functions.

Previous ExperienceAt least 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate compliance and/or internal audit.
Demonstrated audit experience in process and control assessment, evidence review, testing, documentation and report writing.
Broad experience across multiple compliance areas, including anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, fraud, antitrust, sanctions, privacy and third-party risk.
Proven ability to lead or materially support sensitive internal investigations.
Excellent written and spoken English and the credibility to communicate at all organizational levels.
Strong AssetsPractical knowledge of US sanctions, trade compliance and OFAC requirements.
Experience combining Compliance and Internal Audit responsibilities.Experience with SAP/S4HANA, SAP BW, Power BI or other analytics tools.Experience in a multinational industrial, manufacturing or B2B environment.
Qualifications and EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field.
