Full Job Description
Your Role:

This is a highly visible and strategic role in which you will report into to the North America Commercial Applications Director. This role will serve as a technical expert to accelerate and enable the sales process across Pharmaceutical, Biotech, C>, Food & Beverage, and other Industrial Markets.

This role will focus on several key areas:
  • Focus on core flagship products/applications (Sterility, Bioburden, EM/Hygiene, Pathogen Testing, Quality Indicators, Media) and developing markets for Biomonitoring (e.g., Pryogen Testing, Rapid Microbiology, Media Prep, Robotics & Automation)
  • Act as a resource to qualify and advance opportunities through to order execution; operate independently and with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product Management, and other business partners
  • Elevate awareness of product portfolio, market trends, regulatory drivers, competitive threats, and strategic initiatives
  • Document, track, and report activities in approved systems; maintain high visibility and alignment with Global Product Management


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support NA marcom and lead generation campaigns; champion targeted tactical activities to boost product awareness and hit sales goals
  • Create and deploy direct email pieces; report marketing metrics and track leads/opportunities in Salesforce
  • Develop, review, and deploy sales collateral and tools for the sales team
  • Conduct local customer visits, trade shows, trainings, and customer support visits where senior technical support is needed


Voice of the Customer
  • Collect and organize field/market feedback; channel insights to marketing and sales leadership
  • Provide local input to global annual marketing plans for BioMonitoring
  • Participate in new product development; contribute to portfolio planning and segment strategy
  • Support complex product change notifications (communication and implementation)


Marketing Partner to the Field
  • Develop local sales tools as needed; identify and guide toward new opportunities with sales
  • Drive and track new product seeding; coordinate seminars, conferences, and trade shows as an industry consultant
  • Influence pricing, positioning, and segment strategy
  • Execute regional product content and Salesforce training


BioMonitoring Focus
  • Apply knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, competition, and regulatory standards related to BioMonitoring
  • Align regional feedback with Global strategies and product direction


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Science, Business, or Marketing preferred with/or 5 - 10 years direct Sales or Marketing experience with technical products within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and or Food & Beverage Industry.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and communicate technical principles; and a deep understanding of Pharmaceutical QC Microbiology and the many supporting compendia/ pharmacopeia
  • Some in-state or out-of-state customer site or trade show travel may be required up to 35% of time with potential of limited International Travel if needed every few years.
  • Desired attributes; agile & adaptable, proactive/action-oriented, intellectually curious, assertive & influential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required (inform/listen/present opinions and feedback) consult/conceptualize/market solutions, design & deliver presentations & sales tools, innovate on behalf of the customer, prioritize and organize work.
  • Thorough understanding of competition & market landscape, customer strategy, organization and process, MilliporeSigma products/services/solutions, MilliporeSigma strategy & organization, product/solution positioning & marketing, Biopharma workflows and sales processes.


Pay Range for this position: $85,300 - $166,300

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
