Who are You at MacLellan?As a Regional Business Manager, you are a hands-on operational leader responsible for driving performance, accountability, and measurable results across multiple contract sites. As part of Best People, you build and lead strong site-level management teams that execute daily operations with discipline and consistency. You champion continuous improvement through SAVE at MacLellan, focusing on efficiency, cost control, safety, and service delivery. Utilizing our Best Systems, you conduct routine site visits to audit operational performance, ensure SOP compliance, optimize labor deployment, and drive productivity improvements. You actively manage KPIs, control labor and material costs, monitor subcontractor performance, and ensure contracts operate within budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations. As the Regional Business Manager, you deliver Best Results by developing operational bench strength, coaching site leadership, implementing process improvements, and ensuring scalable, sustainable execution across your region.
What are the skills necessary for Regional Business Manager success?- Strong operational leadership with the ability to drive accountability and performance metrics
- Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and deliver consistent results
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor models, and P&L performance
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective action plans
- Effective team builder capable of developing supervisors and frontline leaders
- Clear and direct communicator with strong reporting and documentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to operational detail
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience implementing standardized processes and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting systems
What education and experience are needed for success?- Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is desirable.
- Five years' experience in management with direct supervisory responsibility. Ten years as a substitute for the degree.
- Industrial plant management experience preferred. Automotive experience is highly desirable.
- Proven success in account management including personnel management, procedure implementation, successful P&L responsibility, budget control, and interpersonal communications.
- Up to 50% travel required
