Role Description

Lead, inspire, and elevate a high-performing sales team while shaping strategy and driving meaningful impact in a dynamic biologics market.

Your Role:

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for leading a team of Therapeutic Sales Specialists (TSSs) within a defined geographic area, ensuring consistent execution of a targeted business plan that meets or exceeds market share objectives and aligns with Company and Brand strategies. This role focuses on recruiting, developing, and motivating high-performing talent while partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Training to achieve regional and area goals. The Regional Business Manager collaborates closely with the Senior Area Business Director and peer leaders to drive overall business success.

This is a field-based role covering the NC, SC, Eastern GA, and Southern VA regions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drives and ensures Region sales execution of Company/Brand strategies and plans to achieve sustainable sales results

  • Utilizes deep understanding of the biologics market, patient journey, and payer needs; sets expectations for the team and ensures cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategy is implemented and monitored

  • Demonstrates a leadership presence that contributes to a high-performing, highly collaborative sales team culture; inspires and leads capability development for TSSs through regular field coaching, feedback, and development of action plans to ensure attainment of sales goals

  • Ensures a robust succession plan by identifying high-potential TSSs and preparing them for future growth; facilitates participation in developmental opportunities and increased visibility

  • Regularly analyzes sales and operations data to track results against business plans; identifies trends, communicates insights to stakeholders and TSSs, and implements action plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency

  • Proactively identifies performance issues and opportunities for improvement; implements corrective actions as needed and partners with the Senior Area Business Director and Human Resources to ensure timely and compliant documentation

  • Effectively recruits and selects new TSSs to fill district vacancies, ensuring high-quality hiring decisions in a timely manner

  • Establishes relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders within the Region; collaborates across internal functions (Marketing, Market Access, Medical/MSLs) by leveraging cross-functional expertise

  • Prepares for and participates in National/Regional POAs and conducts regular sales meetings to ensure effective communication; contributes to commercial planning by representing customer and sales team needs

  • Promotes ethical business practices and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and LEO policies


Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; sales/marketing or science related discipline preferred.

  • Requires 5-7 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience; three (3)+ years management experience required (for external hires).

  • Dermatology, Specialty or Immunology experience required; selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable (or office administered IC) biologics experience required.

  • Experience navigating complex reimbursement and market access environments, including specialty pharmacy distribution.

  • Proven sales track record with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of marketing, market access, and pharma economic principles.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data; proficiency in Excel and sales reporting tools

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, and must reside within or near the assigned region and be able to travel (including occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight)

Your New Team:

You'll report to the Senior Area Business Director and lead a team of Therapeutic Sales Specialists. You'll collaborate closely with fellow Regional Business Managers, field-based colleagues, and home office partners-including Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Training-to drive regional success.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $210,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
