The Refrigeration Specialist is responsible for driving refrigeration sales and supporting customers and branch operations through technical expertise, product knowledge, and relationship management. This role works closely with internal teams and customers to develop solutions, provide training, and identify new business opportunities, while ensuring effective communication of product offerings and sales strategies. The position requires independent problem-solving, collaboration with leadership, and a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and applications to support business growth.
Position ResponsibilitiesMay Include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and all of Thermal Supply Branches
- Communicate, interpret, and deliver quotations, terms and conditions of sales to customers
- Solicit orders and when necessary, notify and assist inside sales in writing orders with difficult specifications of terms
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, applications, features, advantages and benefits of divisional products
- Keep current with internal and external training and development including involvement in industry organizations
- Train and assist our branches and customers regarding new products and applications
- Recommend and participate in establishing inventory levels of components and equipment as required to serve the customers
- Investigate and make recommendations for new applications requiring modifications or new products, and initiate, report and follow up on new product opportunities
- Weekly meetings with the VP of Refrigeration and all other refrigeration specialists to discuss issues, opportunities and goals
- Work closely with the VP of refrigeration creating training material for employees and customers, discussing upcoming projects in their area and working directly with branches in their area to increase refrigeration sales

- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
Knowledge & Skills:- Ability to effectively make presentations and respond to questions from customers, vendors, managers/supervisors or other associates of the organization
- Maintain regular customer and inside company contacts with department associates, supervisors and managers to train, motivate, guide and arrange schedules, requiring tact and discretion
- Executive and mature business appearance with ability to develop trust with the customers and the groups
Experience:- 5+ years of experience in sales, commercial refrigeration or working for a HVAC/R wholesaler preferred
Education/Certification:- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

- Working outside standard office hours may be required to meet deadlines and as needed on-call schedule
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations and meetings. Some travel may be required.

Salary Range: $84,030 - $105,010
