Refrigeration Service Technician (Intermediate) - Learn, Grow, and Thrive!

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
  • Build Relationships: Represent yourself and the company with integrity, friendliness, and professionalism.
  • Diagnose & Repair: Accurately troubleshoot and fix specialty ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, and prep refrigerators.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Keep customer equipment running efficiently and hunt for potential safety or maintenance hazards.
  • Manage Jobs: Research parts, calculate costs, prepare accurate quotes, and handle customer payments.
  • Grow Professionally: Participate in quarterly performance reviews designed to recognize your hard work, track goals, and boost your personal development.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the refrigeration service industry.
  • Mindset: Friendly, self-motivated, eager to learn, and proud of your craft.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Testing: Ability to pass a basic mechanical/refrigeration aptitude test with a score of 70% or higher.
  • Screening: A clean background check and a clean driving record.
  • References: Must provide at least 5 professional references upon application.

Compensation: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour

As an appliance repair technician, you'll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you'll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.

You'll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you'll have to deal with people, too.

Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
