RECORDS & EVIDENCE INDEXING DIRECTOR

Position Description:

The Records Director ensures every veteran's medical record is indexed accurately, making examiners' review faster and more precise. Their work directly impacts exam quality by ensuring providers quickly access relevant, organized evidence. They strengthen accuracy for medical opinions and DBQ sufficiency.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Oversee record ingestion, indexing, labeling, and document routing
Manage evidence extraction processes and specialty tagging
Coordinate with clinical staff to support case preparation
Maintain privacy, security, and compliance with VA standards
Manage QA checks for record completeness

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree
5-7 years medical records management
RHIT (preferred minimum)
Familiarity with disability evidence requirements

Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
RHIA
Experience with federal medical record review programs

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 $172,400.00.
