Our Senior Consultants play a critical role in delivering high-quality client solutions by leading technical workstreams, conducting analysis, developing client deliverables, and working directly with stakeholders to solve complex records and information management challenges. Savan Group values rigorous problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions for our clients.

In this role, you will serve as a senior member of the project team supporting a Federal RIM advisory engagement. You will lead and execute RIM activities spanning the records lifecycle, including policy and procedure development, records inventories and file plans, records scheduling, retention and disposition, electronic records management, and training and outreach. You should have a strong working knowledge of federal records management requirements and experience applying those requirements to both physical and electronic records. You will work directly with stakeholders to assess current-state practices, identify requirements and opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations, guidance, and RIM program artifacts that support sustained compliance.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead assigned workstreams and deliverables, facilitate stakeholder discussions, coordinate activities across the project team, and provide technical guidance to consultants and client stakeholders. You will be expected to manage your work independently, produce high-quality client-ready deliverables, and contribute to the continued growth and development of Savan Group's RIM capabilities.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead assigned RIM workstreams and deliverables, coordinate activities with project team members and client stakeholders, and maintain high-quality process, analysis, and project documentation.
  • Design, document, and support implementation of records management program policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and related guidance or training.
  • Assess records management programs, business processes, metrics, and supporting artifacts and develop actionable recommendations to improve compliance, efficiency, and program performance.
  • Advise stakeholders and project team members on appropriate courses of action for complex records and information management challenges and federal records requirements.
  • Conduct and support records inventories and the development, review, and maintenance of file plans, records schedules, retention requirements, and related RIM program artifacts.
  • Support records scheduling, disposition, and transfer activities for electronic and physical records, including coordination with records liaisons, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess and support the management of electronic and physical records, including filing practices, classification schemes, naming conventions, storage, preservation, access, and disposition.
  • Assess electronic records management processes and technologies and support the implementation of appropriate records management controls, metadata, and related requirements.
  • Develop and deliver records management training, guidance, and outreach materials and provide technical support to records liaisons, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 4 years' experience providing quality guidance through management consulting engagements in data and information management, and/or information technology environments
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust
  • Strong and consistent business writing
  • Detailed understanding of Federal laws regulations and practices impacting the creation, use and management of federal records and information.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex records and information management (RIM), information governance, or related federal consulting engagements.
  • Ability to translate federal records management regulations, policies, and requirements into actionable procedures, guidance, business processes, and compliance activities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining records inventories, file plans, records schedules, retention and disposition requirements, and related RIM program artifacts.
  • Experience with electronic records management technologies, repositories, or related enterprise information management solutions.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder working sessions, gathering and analyzing requirements, and coordinating with records liaisons, subject matter experts, and other business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to assess complex business processes, develop actionable recommendations, and produce high-quality client deliverables, guidance, and training materials.

Work Location and Schedule:
