Full Job Description
A Typical Day

The Receiving Clerk Supervisor is responsible for relative assigned shift and/or crew, manage to company personnel/food safety, quality, production, and leadership objectives. The Receiving Clerk Supervisor directly supervises Receiving Clerks to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to Receiving Clerks.
  • Ensure departmental policies, procedures, and SOPs are understood and consistently followed by all assigned personnel.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of receiving staff, including on-the-job-training.
  • Support scheduling, coverage, and overtime needs to maintain operational continuity.
  • Oversee daily receiving activities, including processing inbound and outbound trucks for product pickup and delivery.
  • Ensure department logs, records, and documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained.
  • Review Incident reports and assign to next level for action completion.
  • Weight master scale duties are to provide information on their weights of their product and comply with the State of California Measurements Division regulations and State of Texas by making sure all trucks meet or exceed loading standards.
  • Work in unison with the HCC mission statement promoting mutually beneficial, long-term vendor relationships through customer focus, continuous improvement, supplier cooperation and quality thinking.
  • Monitor and control PMO, USDA, CDFA and FDA compliance through established verification processes.
  • Oversees receiving, ensuring all employee safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times.
  • Responsible for demonstrating organizational skills with the ability to comply with deadlines.
  • Assist in providing prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers.
  • Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully all concerns and findings both internally and externally.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC's food safety and sanitation policies and procedures and completion of log sheets. This includes communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates and participating in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
  • Ability to work with and maintain a computerized inventory system.
  • Review all current job responsible SOP's and update as needed for business continuity.
  • Build and maintain working relationships throughout all departments, providing clear communication affecting said departments.

  • Experience with production process and working closely with other departments.
  • CDFA Pasteurizer license.
  • Experience with SAP.


Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role requires physical exertion, exposure to potentially hazardous conditions or safety hazards. The majority of time is spending walking or standing. There are occasional periods of sedentary work. Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations. Salary Range: USD ($65,494.00 - $98,241.00) ANN

The final compensation offered within this range will depend on factors including the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
