Rebuild Project Manager

Position Overview
Charter Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Rebuild Project Manager to join our Restoration Team in Portland, Oregon.

In this role, you will manage rebuild projects from initial planning through final closeout, ensuring each project is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Charter's standards. You will serve as the primary liaison between homeowners, adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams-balancing technical expertise with clear communication and a strong customer-service mindset.

This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain project momentum while upholding quality, budget, and schedule expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of construction projects from planning and scheduling through completion and closeout.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, and determine resource requirements, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure profitability and cost control.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed according to project specifications and budget requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, evaluate workmanship, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Enforce all safety protocols and maintain compliance with local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Attend weekly project meetings, providing updates on project status, schedules, budgets, and potential challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, contracts, change orders, and job records.
  • Manage and oversee up to 20 active projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, subcontractors, and company leadership.
  • Work independently and proactively resolve project-related issues as they arise.


Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on Xactimate estimating experience.
  • Experience in insurance restoration, remodeling, or residential construction preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Basic computer proficiency required; Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience preferred
