DESCRIPTIONUnder supervision, the Registered Dietitian will function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team at the UCSD Eating Disorder Program. The RD will be supervised by the clinic director and/or program managers in order to ensure adherence to the DBT model. Job duties will include: conducting a nutritional assessment for each patient, providing a meal plan for each patient, checking in with patients about problems following meal plan, and facilitating a weekly nutrition education group.
Additionally, the RD will eat at least a few meals per week with patients to observe eating patterns, monitor the meal environment, and assist patients in completing meals. The RD will attend all treatment team meetings, and provide consultation and training to the eating disorder staff in the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Dietitians must possess the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics and have completed an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Internship.
- Registered Dietitian (RD).
- Two (2) years' experience with experience in comparable acuity level.
- Applicants for positions in the Dietitian series are expected to possess the experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- One (1) year of experience with an eating disorders program
- Experience in providing meal support to patients.
- Experience in an Hospital setting following Title 22 guidelines.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range: $93,632 - $123,584 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $44.84 - $59.19
