As an RCM Automation Strategist, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of revenue cycle operations by identifying opportunities to automate complex workflows, reduce administrative burden, and improve outcomes for healthcare providers across the country.

What You'll Do
Lead RCM Automation Strategy
- Identify and prioritize high-value automation opportunities across revenue cycle workflows, including claims management, prior authorization, eligibility verification, coding, charge capture, denials, and payment reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain a strategic automation roadmap that aligns with business objectives and client needs.
- Evaluate current-state processes and determine where automation can drive efficiency, scalability, and improved outcomes.
Build the Foundation for Scalable Automation
- Create and own a comprehensive library of automation playbooks
- Establish documentation and process standards that enable repeatable, high-quality automation development.
Partner Across Teams and Clients
- Collaborate with RCM leaders, operational subject matter experts, automation consultants, RPA developers, and clients to design and implement automation solutions.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, process assessments, and workflow evaluations to ensure automation initiatives align with operational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and automation champion for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Drive Governance and Continuous Improvement
- Define automation governance standards, quality frameworks, naming conventions, and version control practices.
- Track solution performance and measure outcomes against operational and financial benchmarks.
- Analyze results and continuously refine automation strategies to improve future implementations.
Serve as the RCM Automation Subject Matter Expert
- Provide guidance and direction on complex workflow logic, process optimization, and automation best practices.
- Support automation teams with troubleshooting, process design decisions, and exception management.
- Stay informed on emerging automation, AI, and healthcare technology trends to help shape future capabilities.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, healthcare technology, or a combination of both.
- 5+ years of experience implementing, configuring, or supporting automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar technologies.
- Deep knowledge of revenue cycle operations
- Experience creating process documentation, operational playbooks, workflow maps, and implementation guides.
- Strong process improvement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing stakeholders through change.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Proficiency with Excel, data analysis tools, and project management platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing automation governance standards, Centers of Excellence (CoE), or enterprise automation frameworks.
- Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement certification.
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management applications.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled automation solutions and emerging healthcare automation technologies.
- Knowledge of Netsmart solutions, including myUnity and other RCM-related workflows.
- Experience working within a healthcare technology, health IT, payer, provider, or managed services organization.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7, EDI X12, or FHIR.
- Experience launching new programs, methodologies, or greenfield initiatives where success required building processes from the ground up.
