Full Job Description

We're seeking someone to join our New York Rates Trading team as a Product Controller in ISG Finance to oversee daily P&L reporting, manage month-end close processes, support regulatory reporting, and contribute to strategic projects.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate position within our Product Controllers Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross functional end-to-end product oversight.

What you'll do in the role:
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
> Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
> Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
> Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
> Oversee daily P&L reporting and control requirements
> Manage month-end general ledger close process and disclosure reporting
> Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly management and regulatory reporting initiatives
> Present financial data and partner with business unit stakeholders
> Enhance processes related to financial and regulatory reporting
> Support strategic projects and proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
> Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards

What you'll bring to the role:
> Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment
> Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences
> Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers ability to collaborate effectively with team members and colleagues across the organization
> Ability to analyze data and think strategically
> Strong skills in planning, organization, and prioritization, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a dynamic environment
> Proficiency in written and verbal communication and in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
> At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is

only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
