The Department of Radiology is seeking a highly qualified and visionary Division Lead of Nuclear Medicine. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with a passion for clinical excellence, education, and research to join a dynamic team of experts in one of the nation's top-ranked hospitals serving one of the most diverse patient populations in the country.

As Division Lead, you will oversee and expand our advanced services at four clinical sites, including general and cardiac nuclear medicine, SPECT, SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and theranostics. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering both internal and external collaborations including with industry leaders and federal agencies.

This position is integral to our commitment to educating medical students, residents, and fellows in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology. The division is well-equipped with a cutting-edge small animal facility that includes PET/CT, SPECT/CT and MRI scanners located at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The ideal candidate will bring not only a robust clinical and operational background but also substantial experience in molecular imaging and theranostics.

This role offers the unique chance to lead a highly skilled team while actively engaging in interdisciplinary tumor boards and conferences in coordination with the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation. The Division Lead will also serve as an Authorized User for the Medical Center, advising on the application of new therapeutic agents and radiopharmaceuticals.

Qualifications:
  • MD or equivalent with board certification in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Nuclear Radiology (ABR/ABNM).
  • Extensive experience in PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, and theranostics.
  • A strong record of academic accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications, and participation in funded research.
  • Experience in teaching and mentorship in an academic environment.

Montefiore Medical Center is the teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is located in the Bronx, a short drive or public transit commute from Manhattan and also easily accessible from Westchester County, Long Island and northern New Jersey.
