In this role, you'll assist licensed Radiologic Technologists with diagnostic imaging procedures, prepare patients and equipment, follow all patient care and radiation safety protocols, and provide compassionate, high-quality care. Intern Technologists do not independently expose patients to ionizing radiation and perform all duties under the direct supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist.

We value professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, and excellent communication, and we're excited to welcome individuals who are eager to learn, grow their clinical expertise, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

  • Perform professional duties related to diagnostic radiographic imaging under the direct supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • Adhere to all patient safety, personnel safety, radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing age-specific patient care within the radiology environment.
  • Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and movement using beds and gurneys.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality while following HIPAA and EMTALA regulations.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation, including ABN and incomplete MSP forms.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers while practicing AIDET principles.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and clinical skills throughout the internship experience.

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with Radiology staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide safe, compassionate, and efficient diagnostic imaging services while contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy; one year of healthcare exposure preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of sterile technique, Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and personal radiation protection preferred.
  • Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuously increasing knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to practice AIDET with patients, families, and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior at all times.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting objectives and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Physical ability to lift, position, and transfer patients utilizing beds and gurneys.
  • Knowledge of EMTALA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to maintain ABN forms and incomplete MSP forms.
  • Contingent upon completion of a JRCERT- and AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program and successful completion of the ARRT national examination.
