About this opportunity

ELITS is looking for a Radio Access Network Engineer to support a major customer in Mississauga in a hybrid working model.

This is an individual contributor role embedded within the customer's organization. You will work closely with the customer's technical and operational teams to support network performance, stability, and the delivery of planned activities.

This role is focused on customer-embedded Radio Access Network delivery, integration, and operational support. You will report to the customer's designated manager while following ELITS technical standards, processes, and best practices in your day-to-day work.

Main tasks
• Support the customer's Radio Access Network (RAN), including Long Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR), through planning, configuration, integration, and optimization activities.
• Execute network changes such as parameter updates, feature activations, and software upgrades in accordance with approved change management processes.
• Participate in network rollout, expansion, and modernization projects, supporting design reviews, integration plans, and acceptance testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including implementation plans, configuration records, work logs, and post-change reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, planning, field teams, and vendors, to ensure effective end-to-end delivery of network activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, suggesting automation or standardization opportunities, and sharing best practices.

Technical competence
• Working experience with Radio Access Network (RAN), Long Term Evolution (LTE), and New Radio (NR).
• Experience testing radio products, both software and hardware, in a laboratory environment and in a live customer network.
• Good knowledge of radio frequency (RF) optimization principles and main RF parameters.
• Good knowledge of RF design principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot RAN issues and distinguish between configuration issues and software issues.
• Good understanding of the RAN integration process.
