Job DescriptionUtilizes his/her technical abilities to simulate and/or deliver a course of radiation therapy as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. Has completed the senior therapist criteria and stays current with those requirements. Travels to multiple clinic sites on a regular basis, sometimes working at more than one clinic per day. Has a car, or other suitable mode of transportation, to travel between clinic sites. This position is expected to perform work at any Swedish radiation oncology facility either on a prescheduled basis or by floating.
Required Qualifications:- Coursework/Training: Graduate of a radiation therapy technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology
- Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Hired as a new graduate - up to 2 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist AND 3 years of employment at the Cancer Institute, as a Radiation Therapist
- Hired with 2 years - up to 5 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist AND 2 years of employment at the Cancer Institute, as a Radiation Therapist
- Hired with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist AND 1 year of employment at the Cancer Institute, as a Radiation Therapist
Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
