Full Job Description
Corvid Technologies Huntsville-based Radar Analysis Team is actively looking to add talented Radar Engineers & Analysts (at all levels) to our growing team. Our team supports our Range Engineering organization as they develop, produce and upgrade highly capable radar systems for DoW customers. Candidates will bring a strong fundamental understanding of analyzing radar performance (real- and non-real-time RADAR system, subsystem, and component level analysis, modeling, and simulation to include signal processing techniques and electromagnetic interference) and an ability to develop models using C, C++, Matlab, Python and/or other object-oriented languages.

This role will join Corvid's team integrating our computational code into existing systems' simulation tools. Using the overall simulation architecture, the candidate will support scenario development and analysis to understand system performance and help validate design decisions. While the initial tasking will focus on range-radar systems, candidates will have the opportunity to support a variety of radar sensors as well as other systems used in both testing activities as well as ballistic missile defense.

Typical tasking includes:
  • RADAR system/subsystem/component level analysis and characterization, calibration, and M&S (modeling and simulation) - including hardware characterization
  • Signal processing, data analysis, and algorithm development specifically as it relates to RADAR applications
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications in C++ and perform analysis using Python and/or MATLAB
  • Generate software specifications based on customer and or specific radar applications as well as participating in code & engineering design reviews to maintain and ensure quality as well as providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Potential to provide on-site radar engineering and operations support (to both land and shipboard systems) and associated travel

Requirements:
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Discipline (advanced degrees are plus) with a strong preference for at least one year of relevant technical experience (new graduates will be considered)
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or object-oriented programming as well as simulation tools such as MATLAB and/or Python
  • Preferred candidates will have experience developing models and simulations of radars, RF, weapon systems, and/or real-time operating systems
  • Competency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with real-time radar systems/subsystem software, modeling and simulation, including knowledge of signal processing techniques, data analysis, and algorithm implementation is desired

Our benefits include:
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan via our generous 401(k) Matching
  • Medical Insurance via Blue Cross - including a PPO and High-Deductible offering (with company HSA contribution)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of industry experience (not tenure)
  • Career Development and Continuing Education opportunities
  • Company provided life, long-term, and short-term disability insurance
  • Incentive opportunities to reward strong performance and corporate growth
